RIANDA GILLILAND

Rianda Gilliland B.Optom (UFS) is a qualified optometrist, committed to quality family eye care and building long term personal relationships with her patients.

 

Rianda has over 15 years exposure to ophthalmology, surgical theatre work and emergency treatments for eye diseases due to working in a renowned eye surgery practice in Cape Town. Working as an ophthalmic medical assistant, she was involved in complicated optical corrections, exposed to complex eye surgical & medical problems and was part of the optical team solving these problems together with ophthalmologists.

Her experience extends beyond optometry, such as having the ability to test for ocular diseases and has quick access to an ophthalmologist’s opinion when needed.

Her practice is located in The Point Mall, Sea Point, Cape Town.

Short History

Rianda matriculated in Bloemfontein in the Free State from Oranje Girls High after which she graduated with a Bachelors degree of Optometry from the University of the Free State in 2006.

 

She relocated to Cape Town in 2007 where she worked in private practice as an optometrist until she joined Dr Aleksic’s Ophthalmology practice in 2011 as an ophthalmic medical assistant.
